Kick off to the 2012 Rolex MBA's Conference and Regatta
Friday, 28 September 2012 - Until 30th September Santa Margherita is hosting the 2012 Rolex MBA’s Conference and Regatta, organized by SDA Bocconi in partnership with Rolex and Yacht Club Italiano (YCI).
More than 500 MBA students and alumni from 60 nations and 21 of the world’s top-ranked business schools have come together to compete in a prestigious regatta, designed to enhance the MBA experience and develop future business relationships.
The unique four-day networking event brings like-minded individuals together to discuss current trends affecting business models in today’s economy and race in a regatta along the Italian riviera.
Forty-three boats, each dedicated to a business school’s team, are divided into two divisions to compete in one of Rolex’s most prestigious sailing events. The skipper of the winning boat will receive a Rolex watch.
The 2012 Rolex MBA’s Conference and Regatta also features international business leaders, who are hosting a roundtable discussion titled ‘Rethinking the Future: Profitability, Sustainability and Innovation reinvented’.
“It’s an honour to host MBA students from around the world year after year,” said Andrea Diomelli, SDA Bocconi Sailing Club President. “This event is anticipated all year long and my team and I have worked really hard to maintain the excellence achieved in previous years.”
The Sailing Club is SDA Bocconi’s most prestigious tradition and was born 11 years ago when MBA students started the MBA’s Cup. The event has since grown to include Rolex as the title sponsor and participation from more than 20 business schools.
